LEARNER DECISION GUIDE

Questions to ask before paying for online tech training.

If you are comparing courses after graduation, changing careers or returning to technology work, the number of promises can feel overwhelming. Use the same questions with every provider, including Neriya. A clear answer should help you decide whether the course fits your current needs.

What role and starting point does the course serve?

Ask what a learner should already be able to do and what foundations are included. A beginner, an experienced engineer and a team manager may need different programs even when they all want to learn AI. Ask for an example of the work rather than choosing by a fashionable title alone.

Try a free Neriya career studio to explore role responsibilities. Then compare the career paths catalog. If you cannot yet complete a basic activity, ask which prerequisites to study first.

Who will teach and how will help work?

Look for named instructors with relevant backgrounds and evidence that they can explain their subject. Ask who is assigned to your cohort, whether sessions are live, how questions are handled, and what feedback is included. An impressive faculty page does not mean every listed expert will teach your specific course.

Confirm the time zone, dates, attendance expectations and recording arrangements. Ask how missed sessions and delayed project submissions are handled. “Access to support” should be explained in practical terms.

What work will you produce?

Request a project brief or public example and ask what a reviewer checks. Strong evidence includes your reasoning, tests, failure handling and documentation as well as a working result. Ask whether feedback helps you improve the work, and whether you can describe the project accurately in a portfolio.

Use our RAG evidence checklist or cloud and DevOps guide as examples. Training projects should be labeled as training; they do not become employment experience because they use enterprise scenarios.

What is the complete financial commitment?

Compare total tuition, installment dates, exam fees, lab licenses, equipment and separately purchased support. Ask about cancellation, refund eligibility and missed-payment terms before checkout. Payment-provider availability may depend on the buyer and the purchase.

At Neriya, course pages provide tuition and available enrollment options. Read the enrollment and payment policy. Human-led services in the Career Support Studio are separate purchases; do not assume they are included with every course.

How are career claims supported?

If a provider publishes employment or salary statistics, ask which learners are included, the reporting period, the number of respondents and the definition of a successful outcome. Read the conditions of any guarantee. Testimonials are individual experiences rather than a forecast of your own result.

Training can help develop skills and evidence. Hiring also depends on experience, role fit, applications, interviews and employer requirements. Neriya does not guarantee a job, salary, promotion or independent certification.

Leave the comparison with a concrete next step

Write down the target role, your current gap, weekly practice time, proposed cohort and full cost. Ask the provider to resolve unanswered questions in writing. If the fit remains unclear, begin with foundations or a free orientation instead of committing to a more advanced program.

Read how Neriya approaches these questions and meet our expert faculty. Organizations evaluating employee development can use the separate corporate AI training checklist.
